Before starting his Agency Express business in February 2004, John had worked for 15 years as a long-distance lorry driver, which meant spending long hours away from home. When he noticed a newspaper advertisement for the Agency Express franchise package, he realised it was a great opportunity for a home-based business.

John was also attracted by the fact that no previous experience or qualifications were necessary, as the training course in Norwich covered all areas of the business. The course was followed up with visits to his local estate agencies as part of the new business launch.

The quality of the Agency Express service soon won an increasing amount of business from estate agents in Colchester, from both the larger corporate and local independent agencies. “During the last two and a half years, the business has grown to a point where I’m working at full capacity with one van. I really enjoy the freedom of being able to choose the hours I work, and I particularly appreciate being able to work from home.”
