UK letting market shows growth in September
The latest letting market data from the Agency Express Property Activity Index, has revealed an increase in the number of new of new listing across the UK. National month on month figures for new listings ‘To Let’ sat at 0.90%.
Of the twelve regions recorded by the index, this months top performer was the North East recording robust increases in both new listings ‘To Let’ at 17.80% and properties ‘Let’ at 20.90%. The largest declines were recorded in Scotland. New listings to ‘To Let’ sat at -17.9% and figures for properties ‘Let’ fell for a second consecutive month at -16.2%.
Commenting on the Property Activity Index Lettings Report, Stephen Watson Managing Director of Agency Express said:
This month we have witnessed some growth across the UK lettings market. One or two regional pockets have reported record bests while others performed consistently. The index’s rolling three monthly data does show that we are still recovering from the slower pace experienced during June and July, but as we move in to October we would hope to see further increases.
