Mixed results for Junes property market

June’s month on month data from the Agency Express Property Activity Index, has revealed an increase in properties coming on to the market across the UK.  National figures for new listings ‘For Sale’ sat at a robust 10.4%, while figures for properties ‘Sold’ fell to sit at -3%.

Across the rest of the UK the upward trend in new listings continued. Nine of the twelve regions recorded by the index reported increases in new listings ‘For Sale’, but only five regions reported increases in properties ‘Sold’.

Commenting on the latest index results, Stephen Watson, Managing Director of Agency Express said:

Month on month we see regional figures rise and fall, but overall we are witnessing an increase in properties coming on to the market and stable figures for properties ‘Sold’. As we now move in to in July and August a further slowdown in activity is anticipated, so we’ll be monitoring yearly comparisons closely to see how the summer fairs.
