June decline for UK property market

The latest data from the Agency Express Property Activity Index has revealed an unexpected dip across the UK property market during June 2019.

National month on month figures for new listings ‘For Sale’ fell at -1% as did figures for properties ‘Sold’ at -3.1%, but overall year on year figures remained buoyant.

This months top performing region was London with new listings in the capital at 21%. The largest declines were made in the South East and the North West.

Commenting on the latest index results, Stephen Watson, Managing Director of Agency Express said:

This month’s figures from the Property Activity Index are slightly off trend compared to the same month in 2018. However, as we analyse the year on year data we can see new listings are on par with figures reported in 2018 and properties ‘Sold’ continue to increase.
