Board Services Have Resumed

We are pleased to confirm our return to service as of Monday 11th May onwards.

With a wider understanding now of the relevant health risks, we will be implementing the following guidelines for our operators:

Social distancing measures observed at all times
Hand sanitisers to be carried by all operators and used regularly
No knocking on vendors doors/interacting with vendors unless absolutely necessary
No visiting of branches
Face coverings/masks to be worn where possible
One person per van, unless those people live in the same household

Please ensure your customers are aware that we will be enforcing strict social distancing to protect all involved. We politely request they do not approach our operators, and boards are left in easily accessible locations for collection when required.

Thank you to all our clients for their continued patience during this time.

June dip across UK property market

Following a buoyant month in May, the latest data from the Agency Express Property Activity Index has revealed an unexpected dip across the UK property market.

National month on month figures for new listings ‘For Sale’ fell at -1% as did figures for properties ‘Sold’ at -3.1%. However, looking back at historical data recorded by the index we can see that while month on month on figures have declined overall year on year activity remains robust.

Observing regional performance; four of the twelve regions recorded by the Property Activity Index reported increases in properties ‘For Sale’ and ‘Sold’.

London sat at the top of this month’s leader board with new listings ‘For sale’ at 21%. Again, looking back at the index’s historical data we can see that June is traditionally a buoyant month for the capital, and while a month on month increases have been recorded, year on year figures are down.

Of the remaining regions, buoyant figures were also returned from:

New listings ‘For Sale’

  • Central England 14.20%
  • East Anglia 5.30%
  • West Midland 0.80%

Properties ‘Sold’

  • West Midlands 5.60%
  • East Midlands 5.60%
  • Wales 1.40%
  • South West 0.70%

The largest declines in this month’s index were recorded in the South East with new listings at -6.70% and properties ‘Sold’ at -13.90%. The North West followed suit with new listings at -15.00% and ‘Sold’ figures at -5.20%.

Commenting on the latest index results, Stephen Watson, Managing Director of Agency Express said: This month’s figures from the Property Activity Index are slightly off trend compared to the same month in 2018. However, as we analyse the year on year data we can see new listings are on par with figures reported in 2018 and properties 'Sold' continue to increase.
