COVID Guidelines

Following the UK lockdown announcement we can confirm we are still operating.

To remain COVID safe have implemented the following guidelines for our operators:

Social distancing measures observed at all times
Hand sanitisers to be carried by all operators and used regularly
No knocking on vendors doors/interacting with vendors unless absolutely necessary
No visiting of branches
Face coverings/masks to be worn where possible
One person per van, unless those people live in the same household

Please ensure your customers are aware that we will be enforcing strict social distancing to protect all involved. We politely request they do not approach our operators, and boards are left in easily accessible locations for collection when required.

UK rental market resurgence in June

Following our return to business in May, June’s data from the Agency Express Property Activity Index has revealed further, promising increases across the UK rental market.

As reported and predicted by many other industry experts such as the DPS, No Letting Go and RightMove we have also seen a surge in activity. Month on month figures for new listings ‘To Let’ sat at 51.1% while properties ‘Let’ rose to a robust 125.9%.

Eleven of the twelve regions recorded by the Property Activity Index reported positive increases across the board, with only one region recording a decline in new listings ‘To Let’.

London sat at the top of this month’s leader board. Figures for new listings bounced at 67% but it was the increase in properties ‘Let’ that really stood out, at 216.%. While the number of over all listings remains down year on year London’s return to market has been buoyant, and with rental prices falling in the capital we hope to see further increases throughout the year.

  • East Midlands 85.4%
  • South West 66.2%
  • Yorkshire & Humberside 65.4%
  • East Anglia 65.2%
  • West Midlands 61.2%
  • North East 59.4%

Properties ‘Let’

  • Wales 188.3%
  • South West 152.1%
  • South East 147%
  • Central England 144.8%
  • Yorkshire &Humberside 134.4%
  • East Anglia 110.3%

The decline in this month’s index was reported in Scotland. National month on month figures for new listings ‘To Let’ fell at -9.5%. While historical figures show that a decline in June is typical for the region, Scotland’s later return to market, most definitely had an effect on June’s data.  

Commenting on the Property Activity Index results, Ben Brookes, Managing Director of Agency Express said:

This month the UK lettings market has really started to ramp up. The levels of activity have been better than our expectations and daily instructions continue to increase. In light of the recent stamp duty holiday, we are also hoping that buy to let landlords will take advantage of the reduced rates, which in turn will inject more activity in the ever demanding market.
